Carl CONTI (Vienna 1740 - 1795) "Italian Salami" (Waelsche Wuerste kauft - Salami Verkaeufer) Original etching by a subject by Johann Christian Brand (1722-1795) for the collection entitled "Zeichnungen nach dem gemeinen Volke besonders der Kaufruf in Wien "published in Vienna first by Brand himself and then by the publisher Mollo in various editions from 1775 to 1798. Beautiful copy printed on laid paper bearing a" Letters LHE "watermark, slightly burnished and with lightsetting due to the presence of a passepartout, complete with the impression of the slab and with margins of different sizes, overall in excellent condition. In the lower right corner, ink stamp of the “Hauslab” collection (Lught 1247). The collection designed by Brand consists of forty subjects of street vendors and street characters existing in the social landscape of the city of Vienna at the end of the 18th century, of these four subjects were engraved by Carl Conti.
